Under Sand Devlog

Jan 22nd

The concept of this project is decided. “I’m going to make a desolate, ancient, walking-simulator that is futuristic, having secrets about uncovering ancient secrets behind ruins for curious casual gamers.”

Jan 28-Feb1st

The first scene in the game is created. A terrain made by photoshop image is added to the scene. Pyramid models made by blender are added to the scene. Textures are added to the scene.

Feb1st

First playtest is conducted. After the playtest I decided to make the player character in game into an alien that much shorter than human, so I change the scales of many objects in the first scene.

Feb2nd-Feb9th

More objects and textures are added to the first scene. The second scene, which is an underground tomb like place, is created. Audios are added to the scenes. The collectables are changed from a gold coin to gear shape objects. Dust effect particles are added to the first scene.

Feb10th-Feb15th

The first and second scenes are finalized. The final version of WebGL build is exported. There is a problem in the build that the shadow in the second scene will disappear if the objects is too far away. I’m still working on this problem.
