A downloadable game

Dice Dungeon is a 2 player competitive board game. This game combines physical action and strategic gameplay together, and turns rolling dice into an exciting skill-based action. In the prep stage players are going to place their cards strategically on the board. Good position really matters. In the play stage players are going to roll, throw, or shoot dice to hit their opponent's cards on the board. Try to win the game with most points by accurate dice rolling and strategic placement of cards and terrains.

To play this game, find a 20*20" box. Make 20 piece of terrains by cardboard like the shape showed in the picture( or any shape you like). They should be smaller or around 4*5". Then download the Dice Dungeon.zip below, print the assets, cut them, and follow the rules below.

Enjoy your game!

Component

  1. A 20*20” box that has 20 4*5” grids
  2. 14 Number Cards, 7 for each player(2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14)
  3. Dices, equal and symmetrical for each player(You need at least 10 dices for each to make it fun)
  4. Special dice: really small ones and really large ones (D6).
  5. Ability Cards (Green) and Punishment (Yellow) Cards
  6. 20 Terrain components

Prep

  1. Pick one player to be RED and one player to be BLUE.
  2. Randomly deal the RED player two (2)  Ability cards and one (1) Punishment card.
  3. Randomly deal the BLUE player one (1)  Ability card and two (2) Punishment cards.
  4. Give both players dice such that each player has an identical distribution.
  5. Starting with the BLUE player, each player takes turns to place their Ability and Punishment on the board, face down, one at a time, then places their number cards in the same fashion.

Play

  1. Starting with the RED, each player alternates throwing one of their dice onto the board. Your hand can not go beyond the wall.
  2. When a dice lands on a card, reveal that card for the rest of the game. Ability and Punishment cards are resolved when they are revealed. Number cards remain on the board unless the sum of the shown faces of the dice on them equals or exceeds the number printed, at which point they are captured by the enemy player.
  3. If a dice lands between two grids, the grid which it has a larger surface contact with is which it lands on.
  4. Dice always stay on the board unless it activates an Ability or Punishment card, in which case both the card and the dice are removed.
  5. Whenever a card is removed from the board the player who cast the die that removed it adds a terrain piece onto the same grid, the player can decide however they want to place it.

Objective

  1. The goal is to end the game with the most points! The game ends when both players are out of dice,  or one player no longer has number cards on the board. Each player sums the number cards they captured to determine their final score.
